Keep reading your production — whatever the hardware may be.
PV monitoring on GPweb-Monitor or GPweb-Remote — whichever fits your needs.

Your inverters outlived your datalogger.
For example SMA's Sunny WebBox is discontinued. The inverters are still producing. A large installed base of Bluetooth-era SMA machines has no Ethernet port and no Modbus board fitted, and no upgrade path that costs less than the monitoring is worth.
That is the visible half of the problem. The quieter half: old inverters are where compliance projects die. Producers have installed grid equipment on time and to specification and still cannot go live, because the inverters behind it cannot answer. A plant is only as readable as its oldest machine.
Live production, per inverter.
Each inverter reports its own power, its own yield and its own operating state — not a plant total with the detail averaged out of it. Monitor sets each plant, each inverter, even each string against its own forecast, so a shortfall shows up as a difference rather than as a hunch.
- Per-inverter, MPPT and string power, yield and operating status
- Mixed-vendor systems on one screen
The Sunny WebBox replacement.
For Bluetooth-era SMA systems we read the inverters the way the WebBox did — over Bluetooth, on the inverters' own protocol. GPweb-Monitor takes the WebBox's place: it finds the inverters, logs on, and reads serial number, power, yield, status and more.
If we don't support your equipment yet, we write the driver.
Whatever is in your PV system: if it speaks a documented protocol and we can get to one unit to test against, we write the driver for it — at no charge — and we prove it on your plant on commissioning day. So far, we have not met one we could not do.
Common questions
My inverters are older than my monitoring. Is that a problem?
It is the normal case, and it is the one worth asking about early. Older machines often predate Ethernet and Modbus entirely — they speak a manufacturer's own link, and the box that used to speak it is out of production. That does not make them unreadable; it makes them a driver question rather than a wiring question. Tell us the models, and we will tell you what we already deliver and what we would need if we do not have support already.
Why not just use the portal my inverter manufacturer provides?
A manufacturer's portal is built to monitor that manufacturer's own hardware. It stops at the edge of its own product line, and it stops when a product line is retired — which is exactly the position Sunny WebBox owners are in now. GPweb-Monitor is built for the plant as it actually is: mixed vendors, mixed generations, one operator who needs one view. If your whole plant is one brand, one generation and still supported, the portal may be enough — but even then, Monitor adds management on our servers for finding and tracking problems like production losses.
Which inverters and meters can you read?
Dedicated drivers for GoodWe, Huawei, Sungrow, SMA and ABB/FIMER, and the generic SunSpec driver for inverters like Fronius, SolarEdge and any others. We already cover most modern grid-tied hardware, dataloggers and smart meters. Over the years we have also worked with Danfoss, Refusol, Kaco, Kostal and plenty more.
And if your hardware is not on the list, we write the driver for it at no charge.
Do I need GPweb-Monitor or GPweb-Remote?
GPweb-Monitor is the low-cost unit for small to midsize PV systems that need their datalogger replaced, or that have no decent data logging today. GPweb-Remote is a plant controller — the right answer when the site also needs grid remote control, an EMS, or is larger with a greater mix of hardware and sub-systems. Both feed the same platform (GPweb-Server), so the data model does not change if the plant grows into the larger device later.
Does monitoring make me compliant with DEDDIE remote control?
No. Monitoring reads your plant; grid remote control is a separate obligation with its own equipment, and that is our GPweb-Remote solution. DEDDIE applies remote-control obligations for PV systems larger than 400 kW today. A legislative change that lowers that to 200 kW may be on the way. If your plant is near the line, talk to us.
Tell us what is in your PV system — the inverter models, the datalogger — and we will tell you what we can read today and what we would need if we do not have a driver yet.
